Working and Employment opportunities in Denmark
Denmark’s mixed economy relies mainly on human resources as there are few minerals apart from some North Sea Gas and Oil. Its major industries are Oil and Gas, Iron and Steel processing, Chemical Processing, High-Tech Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Food Processing, Transportation Equipment, Textiles and Clothing, Electronics, Construction, Shipbuilding and Medical Equipment manufacture.
Because the Danish economy has a wide industry base it’s a suitable place to work for all sorts of expats but it must be remembered that it is an expensive country to live in with one of the highest tax rates in the world, from 37.4% to 63% and a VAT rate of 25%. Don’t let this put you off though, if you do work here you will enjoy the benefits of a highly modernised economy, with a high standard of living.
